Conventional Vehicles

Not everything on Bellerephon is a MAV.  In fact, a lot of things on Bellerephon aren't MAVs.  Here are some of the more common and/or interesting vehicles available.

Connor Light Work Frame

Type: Frame

Cost: 2,750 mina new

Speed (Ground): 1 - 50 kph

Maneuverability: 0

Strength: 2 - 1 ton

Armor: 0

Durability: 1 - 3 structure points

Weapon Capacity: 0 - Max Type 0

Equipment: 1 1/2

       Integrated Weapon x1/2

       Storage

Power: +

Mass: +

The Connor Light Work Frame (better known as a ClaW) is not considered a true MAV, both because it's not designed for combat and because it runs on battery packs rather than a power plant.  Still, it's everywhere and it often gets modified for everything.  The CLaW is truly a frame, eight feet tall with only enough dermal plating to protect its servos from dust and debris and little protection for its driver.  The integration slot in its right arm is designed for an Omni-Tool, but once in a while you'll find a CLaW carrying an actual weapon.  Some people will put guns on anything.

Hippogriff Collapsable Hoverbike

Type: Conventional

Cost: 1,500 mina new

Speed (Ground): 0

Speed (Air): 2 - 300 kph

Maneuverability: 2

Strength: 0 - no lifting capacity

Armor: 0

Durability: 1 - 2 structure points

Equipment: 1

       Standard

       Flight - Repulsors

Not Modifiable

The Hippogriff is definitely a military-grade vehicle.  Built to collapse itself at the touch of a button, this bike can be stashed in almost any storage compartment and still leave room for a set of riding armor and a helmet.  It's fast, maneuverable, and comes with a combat-grade REM sensor package and a survival kit.  Designed for the Elite Mobile Cavalry, the Hippogrif was intended as the Frontier's answer to an escape pod.  If something happens to your MAV, the Hippogriff will give you every chance to make it back alive.  To be honest, it sees more use as a fast recon unit and artillery spotter than as a life-saver.  Like most EMC equipment, the Hippogriff is sold on the civilian market as well, but the public tends to prefer other models of hovercycle.

Washburn Zelhawk Mk 3

Type: Conventional

Cost: 5,250 mina new, if you can find one

Speed (Ground): 0

Speed (Air): 4 - 600 kph

Maneuverability: 3

Strength: 0 - no lifting capacity

Armor: 2

Durability: 2 - 4 structure points

Weapon Capacity: 2 - Max Type 1

Equipment: 3 (-1)

     Standard

     Enhanced Sensors

     Flight - Thrusters

     Hardpoint x2

     No Hands

Power: +

Mass: +

Conventional aircraft have fallen rather by the wayside on Bellerephon.  With the Frontier less than two thousand miles at its widest point and repulsortrains making regular circuits, not many feel the need for fast aircraft.  Also, conventional aircraft lack the versatility and durability of the MAV, despite their speed and long-range striking ability.  As such, the first and last true conventional combat airplane on Bellerephon is Washburn Aerospace's Zelhawk jet fighter.  Despite its low production demand, Washburn has kept the design up to date and still makes parts and upgrade kits for it.  Once in a while you'll actually see someone using it for combat support, usually with a loadout of long-range missiles.  One particularly hated bandit, the Black Ace, outfits his Zelhawk with a pair of custom-built armor-piercing gatlings and uses it to take out aerial recon MAVs trying to find him.  The EMC has a hefty bounty posted on both him and his airplane.

Rockwell Repulsortank

Type: Conventional

Cost: 4,200 mina new

Speed (Ground): 1 - 50 kph

Speed (Air): 2 - 300 kph

Maneuverability: 0

Strength: 0 - no lifting capacity

Armor: 2

Durability: 3 - 6 structure points

Weapon Capacity: 2 - Max Type 1

Equipment: 3 (-1)

     Standard

     Flight - Repulsors

     Hardpoint x2

     Magazine

     No Hands

Power:

Mass: +

The Garner Munitions E2 Rockwell is probably the most common conventional war machine on Bellerephon.  It sees heavy use as an escort vehicle for repulsortrains, and the E2 model even has the connections to hook directly into the train itself.  The EMC disdains it, and it'll never be considered as cool as a MAV, but the Rockwell is solid and reliable machine.
